Senior Controls Engineer Location: Solihull Salary: Up to £65,000 About the Role: As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of PLC software, from initial concept through to commissioning and production. You will collaborate closely with customers to ensure their specifications are met and deliver solutions that drive their success. Main Responsibilities of the Senior Controls Engineer: The Senior Controls Engineer will be developing and testing PLC/SCADA/HMI applications. Set up and commission control panels, I/O drives, and other systems. Assist with estimates for customer quotations. Collaborate with customers to create a Functional Design Specification (FDS) that accurately defines system requirements. Support Project Managers in planning and monitoring project progress. Ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards. The Senior Controls Engineer will be conducting on-site commissioning activities for large-scale automotive robotic production lines. Desirable Experience & Qualifications for the Senior Controls Engineer: Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing control systems with Rockwell and Siemens products. Flexibility to work weekends as needed (with paid overtime) to meet customer needs. Electrical design knowledge, preferably with E-Plan experience. Hands-on experience with DCP software standards.
