Quantity Surveyor/Estimator Opportunity - Central Scotland

First People Solutions is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading construction company based in Central Scotland.

Role Overview:

  • Position: Estimator/Quantity Surveyor
  • Location: Central Scotland

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tender processes from initial review to final submission.
  • Conduct take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities.
  • Liaise with the sub-contractor supply chain to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Analyze and assess quotations for compliance and value.
  • Work closely with the Development & Bid Manager to ensure profitability.
  • Present bids to Senior Management for review.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proven Estimating experience within a Main Contractor or Sub-Contractor background.
  • Strong knowledge of the Scottish construction market.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Conquest estimating software or similar is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
