Primarily based in Spalding, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a varied and hands-on environment. Why You'll Love This Role Be the Go-To Expert: As the sole IT engineer in Spalding, you'll handle a wide range of tasks, from deskside support 1st and 2nd line up to advanced 3rd Line Support occasionally and exciting project work. Autonomy and Initiative: You'll thrive in an environment that values your ability to work independently and interact with people at all levels.Key Responsibilities Helpdesk Hero: Resolve helpdesk requests swiftly, ensuring high customer satisfaction. System Maintenance: Oversee daily backup processes, and support Microsoft Desktop & Server Operating Systems. Tech Troubleshooter: Monitor and support our Windows 2016 Hyper-V environment, and troubleshoot network issues. Hardware Guru: Provide hardware support for desktops, laptops, and various printers, including thermal printers. Critical Support: Be ready to respond to out-of-hours support issues, ensuring our systems run smoothly around the clock. Project Planner: Assist in planning and relocating IT equipment during different trading periods.What We're Looking For Essential Skills: Proven experience troubleshooting Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office applications (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel). Strong knowledge of Office365 administration and management. Basic understanding of networking (LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure). Ability to troubleshoot networked devices, such as PCs, laptops, and printers. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.Bonus Skills: Experience with Microsoft Azure. Understanding of a Windows Server environment. Basic knowledge of SQL administration and backup processes.Other Requirements Driving License: A current driving license is necessary as you may need to provide on-site support at various times and travel to other sites occasionally. Health & Safety: Commitment to safe work practices and cooperation with health and safety protocols.Working Hours Standard 40-hour week with potential for additional hours during peak periods (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Easter). Out-of-hours support will be required on a rota basis, with an allowance paid for this coverage.Ready to Make a Difference?
