About the role: We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Brent, London. This part-time position is focused on providing boosters and interventions to support children’s learning, ensuring that no one falls behind. Whether it’s one-on-one attention or small group support, you’ll be an integral part of the classroom, helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive. As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, your main responsibility will be to provide additional support to students who need help catching up with the curriculum or who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is particularly suited for someone with experience or interest in boosters and interventions, ensuring all students reach their full potential in reading, writing, and maths. Application Requirements: • Patient, empathetic, and motivated individual. • Passion for working with young children. • Experience in a similar role, ideally in Key Stage 1 or with SEN. • Experience delivering booster sessions (preferred). • Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative. • Excellent communication skills for building strong relationships with students and staff. Key Responsibilities: • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery. • Supporting students during classroom activities, providing individual attention as needed. • Running small group interventions for students needing additional help in literacy and numeracy. • Working with children with Special Educational Needs to help them engage with learning and feel confident in the classroom. • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
