Based in Bristol, my client is a successful UK based Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Civil and Structural Engineering. We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their busy team and have the opportunity to participate in domestic projects including timber, steel, concrete, and masonry. As well as specialising in major development projects ranging from highways, bridges, Drainage Infrastructure.
To be considered for this Structural Engineering role, it is essential for candidate to have the following:
- Qualifications of either Meng, BEng, or a relevant Structural Engineering degree
- Minimum 1-2 years industry specific work experience
- Exceptional communication skills both verbally and written
- Desire to work towards a chartership
- Experience within steelwork reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry
- Knowledge of AutoCAD plus any modelling software is advantageous e.g. Revit or Tekkla
Duties and responsibilities for this Structural Engineer include:
- Perform structural design and analysis calculations in accordance with relevant codes, standards, engineering formulas, and personal expertise.
- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software, as well as specialized equipment, to prepare design documents
- Conduct on-site activities, such as recording ground conditions, collecting samples, or taking site measurements, under supervision.
- Draft, organize, and coordinate technical documents, including specifications and Health & Safety information.
- Maintain awareness of the project scope, reporting any deviations or extensions to the project engineer promptly.
- Contribute towards the financial health of the company.
