Credit Manager - Permanent.Salary – flexible depending on experience+ Annual Bonus + Excellent scope for career development & progression.Location: Primarily remote with visits to the office in London Our client is a successful and growing property finance lender, who are experiencing growth as they continue to be recognised within the industry.They provide a range of property finance options in the non- regulated lending sector including, bridging, refurbishment (heavy) auction, and development finance solutions to support the residential property market.With solid funding with UK Banks and Private credit funds they have ambitious growth plans this is a new hire to support the credit function and work closely with the senior management team and Directors.As the Credit Manager you will be responsible for taking the lead role in the credit team and provide support by making sound credit decisions backed by a solid lending rationale and confident in your ability to credit assess all cases and their worthiness. You will have autonomy to make high quality credit decisions in line with company policy and appetite and must be confident and knowledgeable in your risk assessing and ability to look at each deal on its own merit with a solution focused approach.This is a superb opportunity to apply your skills and experience in a growing, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment where you will be able to demonstrate your ability to thrive as well as be responsible and push back where necessary.The role will include supporting the origination team with reviewing new business opportunities, to reviewing applications for structure, purpose, reasonableness, and viability to working with Surveyors and Lawyers collaboratively with diligence to applications and identify risks or problems.Responsibilities:Action new lending requests for a variety of property backed loans and analyse credit worthiness.Preparing offer documentation and ensuring all loan conditions are met throughout the drawdown process.Liaising with the origination and credit team and Surveyors, Solicitors and Clients to effectively manage the lending process.Be able to articulate rationale for lending decisions to various levels of internal and external stakeholders.Be alert to the risks attributed to a loan application ensuring that the proposal is both suitable and fit for purpose.Review application forms, loan documentation, credit reports, valuation reports, bank statements and land registry reports.Supporting the origination team with reviewing new business opportunities, reviewing applications for structure, purpose, reasonableness, and viability to working with Surveyors and Lawyers collaboratively with diligence to applications and identify risks or problems.Provide support managing credit decisions, regarding loans post completion, for example; any further drawdowns, advances, extensions renewals and recoveries etc.Ensuring documents assessed in line with internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory guidelines.Attending team meetings and providing loan updates to Management.Carrying out ad-hoc duties and aiding as and when required.Assist in the preparation and gathering of loan related documentation.Experience:Solid credit knowledge and underwriting experience with ability to articulate credit worthiness and lending rationale.Min 4 Years credit / underwriting experience within bridging or developmentStrong customer service skills with experience in forming and maintaining relationships with intermediaries and professionals.Experience in managing case load and processing applications quickly and effectively.Commercially aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Independent, organised, and able to work on your own initiative, with a flexible approach to work.Proactive in your approach to the role and keen and confident in managing the process.
