CCTV/Access Control Installation Engineer

We are seeking a CCTV/Access Control Installation Engineer to work for a company in Bournemouth.

This role involves the testing, installation, and commissioning of electronic and electrical systems, including large wireless CCTV, access control, intercom systems, alarm systems, and gas detection systems, all integrated into a multi-camera and multi-access point environment on a purpose-built software platform. This position requires a candidate with a strong background in networking and ideally industry experience in the fire and security sector.

Working Schedule:

• 42 hours a week Monday to Friday with good overtime opportunity.

• Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to work 10 or 12-hour shifts that may extend into nights and weekends.

• Location: 60-80% of the time will be based at the company's HQ/factory

Responsibilities:

• Design, test, install, and commission wireless CCTV systems, access control systems, and associated electronics based on a purpose-built software platform.

• Develop and integrate systems, including WIFI CCTV systems, access control, alarm systems, and GPS.

• Engage in simple electronic design and liaise with outsourced software developers as needed.

• Conduct on-site troubleshooting and system setups at customer premises, ensuring all systems operate correctly and meet client expectations.

• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, from conception through to completion, ensuring high standards are met.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science or related field with a focus on network engineering.

• Minimum 2 years in electronic system installations, preferably in CCTV, access control, networking, and system integration.

• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
