We pride ourselves on our supportive and collaborative environment where both staff and students can thrive.Position: Teaching AssistantLocation: Eastbourne, East SussexContract Type: Full Time, Temp to PermWorking Schedule: Term Time Only, 08:30 - 15:30 (32.5 hours per week)Salary: £84 per day PAYEStart Date: Next Term or ASAPRole Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our client's team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with young people in an alternative provision, supporting their educational and personal development. The position is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent based on performance and school needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.Key Responsibilities:Assisting teachers in the planning and implementation of lessons tailored to individual student needsProviding one-on-one or small group support to studentsHelping to create a safe and engaging classroom environmentSupporting students with special educational needs and behavioural challengesAssisting with classroom management and strong behavioural support is needed in the most challenging timesPreparing learning materials and resourcesSupervising students during break times and school activitiesSkills and Experience Required:Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role with SEND/SEMH/behaviour is highly desirableA passion for working with young people and supporting their educational journeyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamFlexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the schoolPatience, empathy, and a positive attitudeA DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain oneDegrees such as Psychology and Criminology are of interest in SEMH (mental health) but not essentialBenefits:Opportunity for a permanent positionSupportive and inclusive school environmentProfessional development opportunitiesHow to Apply: If you are passionate about education and eager to make a difference in the lives of young learners, we would love to hear from you.
