Survey Technician

Survey Technician / Great Yarmouth /Permanent / Salary between £24,000 - £28,000 Position 1 Recruitment is looking for a Survey Technician to join one of our Leading client’s in equipment and service provider. As a Survey Technician you will report to the Regional Technical and Operations Manager - EMEA and will be responsible for ensuring the rental equipment is maintained to a high standard and ready for deployment. Responsibility: Duties: Rental • Preparing and testing of equipment prior to rental and post hire. • Function testing, software / firmware updates, cable integrity. • Ensuring completeness of equipment against packing lists. • Checking, inspecting and documenting equipment returned from hire. • Visual inspection, function testing and writing technical reports. • Identification of in-house or external repair tasks. • Preparing all assets to ensure they are ready for delivery to clients at short notice. • General warehouse and delivery duties. Mobilisations / Demobilisations • Checking, inspecting and documenting equipment on mobilisation • Setup, interface, function test on mobilisation • Troubleshoot to successful conclusion • Assist offshore survey team as required • Demobilise, check, inspect and document equipment prior to dispatch back to base A successful Survey Technician should have experience in electronic engineering principles, techniques, and practices, along with a solid understanding of survey equipment. Knowledge of interfacing survey sensors with acquisition software is also important. Experience in the offshore industry would be beneficial but is not essential. The candidate must hold a full UK driving licence. This is a full-time, permanent role with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
