As Sous Chef you will lead our dedicated catering team, who produce outstanding food using the finest and freshest ingredients in this highly innovative corporate environment. We put our dedication to fabulous food in the spotlight to showcase what our talented team can do!Site population 2000 approxTeam: 5 chefs & 4 Kitchen Porters3 large counters: Traditional Bistro/ Street Food/ Pop-Ups/ Light Lunching & SoupsBusy Grab & Go Outlet in separate building providing cakes and items from CPULarge Deli Bar & CPU for Grab & GoSalad Bars (served with composite salads)The Ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar environment, be customer facing, and have a passion for innovation, who is skilled in fresh food delivery and passionate about food. A strong HSE background together with B&I experience is ideal.Main ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do:Lead the kitchen, manage and maintain in the absence of Head ChefsHold chef's meetings (production, Allergen and team meeting) in the absence of either Head ChefsDrive profitability for both Sodexo and client through excellence in execution.Support the delivery of excellent food preparation and delivery meals in the restaurant, following Sodexo brand.Working in line to budgetary targets & controls set out by the contract and Line Manager.Managing the delivery of all food production.Maintain all food safety / health and safety management systems within your work areas, as per Sodexo StandardsResponsible for all opening and closing procedures within designated areas.Ensure Food production/preparation and quality meets company standards.Manage food purchasing and storage, in collaboration with the store team.To use strong leadership skills to motivate the brigade.To be responsible for ensuring that all staff are briefed on Allergens and documentation completed prior to every serviceMaintain standards, company policies and procedures.For a full list of responsibilities please view the attached job descriptionThe Ideal CandidateWhat you bring:EssentialExperience within a Sous Chef Role (preferable B&I)Experience in High Volume environment Food safety Level 3 IT skills Strong communications & people skillsCollaborative DesirableExperience working in a standards /compliance environment.Demonstrative customer focus and service skillsHSEQ trainingWhat we offer:£38,000pa - £41,000pa + excellent benefits packageWorking with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.
