Job DescriptionSalary £25,979-£29,777 Per annum | Pro Rata | Permanent, Part Time, 33.3 hours per week | School Improvement | The Cove, HeyshamInternational Sponsorship - this role is not open to international sponsorship Level 3 Teaching Assistant, The Cove, HeyshamThe Education Unit based at the Cove NHS inpatient unit, is seeking to appoint a flexible, dedicated and caring Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join its hard working team.The NHS Cove team provides assessment and diagnosis of the mental health needs of children and young people. Education staff, as part of the multi-disciplinary team, work closely with clinical colleagues and professionals for other agencies and schools, therefore the ability to work collaboratively and have good communication skills is essential. The team delivers an in-centre timetable and reintegration support to pupils in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.Education provision at The Cove is part of LHES (Lancashire Hospital Education Service). We provide education for young people unable to access mainstream while they are inpatients within the NHS unit due Tier 4 mental health needs. Pupils can be Lancashire residents or residents of other local authorities. Pupils remain on their school or college roll and our team liaise with school and college staff to provide continuity in education and to support reintegration. Pupils have a wide range of abilities. Some may present with special educational needs and some are recognised as high achievers by their schools and families. The priority is to support each child and young person to access education and make progress.
