Environmental Manager (18 month FTC)

Environmental Manager - 18 month FTC Blackpool  £70,000 + benefits We are currently working with a leading Chemical Manufacturing business, who are looking for an Environmental Manager to join them on an 18 month FTC. The Environmental Manager will be responsible for: Providing expert advice to the Sustainability Manager and wider business regarding compliance with legal, best practice and stakeholder requirements in relation to Environmental and Sustainability issues. Acting as the primary contact to the Environment Agency and other stakeholders (including COMAH Competent authority) for all environmental issues. Lead the implementation, maintenance and cross functional improvements for the Environmental Aspects of an accredited Management System (accredited to ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO9001). Maintain Environmental Permit. The Environmental Manager will have: Environmental Management – Dependant on experience ideally Degree level IEMA Associate Member / ISOH Member or equivalent. Knowledge of Polymer processing or Chemical environment – advantage Expert understanding of standards relating to Environmental Management.
