We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator on a 12 month contract, based in Dyce. What will you be doing

Assist with the execution of all Freight movements for the assigned project ensuring safe, timely and economical delivery of equipment and materials to destination. Clear understanding of Inco Terms and the most commercial method of transporting goods Appreciation of the environmental aspects of freight and input into the company drive to become net Zero Work closely with the team in Customs to ensure compliance to all HMRC Regulations. Follow and enhance Procedures for logistics and ensure readiness to execute according to specific contract details. Communicate clearly with open and honest dialogue to secure optimal information flow between involved functions and parties; Internal and External. Assist and comply with all Export Documentation and Record Keeping Maintain a strong dialogue with Internal Customs Team for all subjects and issues surfacing in Logistical Operations to mitigate potential risks and costs Issue Clearance Requests to Freight Partners / Control Records of same Be Involved and enhance Continuous Improvement Projects Compile Monthly Reports ( MOR / Cost Control / Freight Partners Compliance ) Control / Approve all Freight Invoices ensuring Coding and Costs are correct Ensure familiarity with OSS HSE Policies, Principles, HSE Mindset, Just Rules, Just Culture and HSE Operating System Actively promote, through your personal commitment, OSS HSE Policies, Principles, HSE Mindset, Just Rules, Just Culture and HSE Operating system Be seen as a role model on HSE matters within your areas of operation and influence Demonstrate HSE leadership of HSEQ Policies, Principles, HSE Mindset, Just Rules, Just Culture and HSE Operating system Take personal responsibility for HSE local site rules and ensure regular review of your personal HSE agreement Intervene and ensure intervention by others where required consistent application of Just Culture Standard in your area of operation and influence Report all accidents, incidents and near misses in accordance with Procedures Keep abreast of industry developments and innovations that may affect safety and welfare of personnel or protection of the environment, and inform colleagues accordingly

What we think you should have

Ability to Control all logistic activities in the UK Region, ensuring best practice for Costs, Safety and Integrity of Equipment and Compliance Regimes. To perform Customs Compliance record keeping and adherence to Process Basic knowledge of and experience with several of the following would be advantages;

Project logistics planning and handling Freight forwarding Import/ Export Licences and Country of Origin rules / COO Incoterms Transport booking, including import and export of shipments all modes of transport including vessel- and aircraft chartering Import / export documentation Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant working experience Working Knowledge of UK Compliance Export/Import systems and laws Working with a Fast Pace Changing Environment Willing to work Overtime when required Strong communication Systematic and analytical Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative. High integrity and ethical values Good knowledge in SAP Literate in Microsoft Programs
