Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Lurgan Up to £53k (inclusive of shift premiums etc) Vickerstock are currently working in partnership with our food manufacturing client based in Lurgan to assist them in recruitment of a Maintenance Technician. Our client is a reputable supplier of fresh food products to many leading retailers across the UK and Ireland. What will this role involve? Conducting planned Maintenance in line with PPM schedules. Carrying out both reactive maintenance on all machinery/equipment across the site, diagnosing faults quickly and carrying out effective repairs to ensure minimal downtime. Liaising with other departments and keeping them up to date with regards to the status of machinery, as well as liaising with outside contractors and suppliers. Suggesting areas of improvement and implementing these changes accordingly. Participating in Engineering projects. Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment. What will you need? Multi-skilled Engineering background, with a strong working knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic systems. A third level Engineering qualification. Experience within a similar role, preferably within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Ability to work well from your own initiative, both unsupervised and as part of a team.
