Job Description QHSE Manager Permanent Staff | Ilford The Company An international engineering company that specialises in the manufacture of components for the scientific industry. The Role This position will require an experienced Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager. As the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager you will lead the company’s Quality Assurance approach and be responsible for the overall quality of products released by the company. You will take accountability for maintaining our ISO 9001 accreditation and for introducing an Integrated Management System to include ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. This is also a hands-on role responsible for: conducting spot-checks of products throughout the production process, the investigation and resolution of quality issues, oversight of the inspection team. The work will include the following: Ensuring the maintenance of the Quality Management System and ISO 9001 accreditation Overseeing internal audits on the application of the IMS and leading any external audits Conducting risk assessments of processes and tasks Investigating causes of non-conformities and working together with production leaders to discuss solutions Conducting risk assessments of processes and tasks Assisting in the continued development of the QHSE department The Candidate To apply for this role, you must 1. Experience maintaining a Quality Management System to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation 2. Minimum 5 years experience in a Quality Assurance management role within a manufacturing environment, ideally where a batch production method is used 3. In-depth knowledge and experience of quality control procedures, Health & Safety and environmental requirements, and relevant legal standards 4. Direct inspection experience, for example, reading product specifications and schematics and use of tools including Micrometer and Vernier Caliper 5.
