Tax Accountant (Mixed)

We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified Tax Accountant to join a growing finance team based in Belfast. This role offers a broad mix of tax responsibilities, including corporate tax compliance and advisory, VAT, personal tax, and employment tax, providing you with a varied and engaging workload Whats on Offer: Competitive salary (£44,000 - £51,000) Hybrid working model (three days in Belfast office) Generous pension scheme, private medical insurance and annual leave entitlement Up to 10% company pension Clear progression pathway About You: Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CTA) or equivalent, ideally with a background in corporate tax or mixed tax Strong analytical and numeracy skills with attention to detail Proficient in using tax software packages Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax and accounting matters to non-specialists Experience in preparing and submitting UK corporate and partnership tax returns About Your New Role: Always: Preparing and filing tax returns for UK and international companies and partnerships Handling VAT returns, including checking for accuracy and providing advice on complicated VAT issues Helping with deferred tax calculations and preparing tax notes for company accounts Often: Giving advice on various tax matters, including corporate tax, VAT, and employment tax Assisting senior management with tax compliance and strategic decisions Working closely with finance teams and external advisors to ensure tax returns are accurate and submitted on time Occasionally: Participating in tax-related projects, such as digitalisation, capital allowances, and business planning Taking part in training sessions and industry events to develop your skills further Never: Feeling unsupported, as youll be part of a collaborative and experienced team Missing out on progression opportunities, with a clear path for career growth Interested?
