Art Teacher Location: Lewisham Pay Scale: £150 - £255 per day Start Date: November 2024 Contract: Temporary until December 2024 GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Lewisham. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for art, and the ability to foster a positive learning environment. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire creativity and critical thinking. You will be expected to tailor lessons to meet students’ diverse needs and promote artistic skill development. Responsibilities of an Art Teacher: Planning and delivering dynamic and creative art lessons. Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Encouraging student participation and artistic expression. Assessing and providing feedback on students' progress. Collaborate with other teachers to enhance the creative curriculum. Ensuring all safeguarding and child protection policies are upheld. Required Qualifications for an Art Teacher: Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching art in a secondary school. Strong communication and organisational skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
