Business Analyst (Utilities)
Salary : £60,000-£70,000 p/a (+bonus and bens)
Location: Berkshire office - Hybrid (Some client facing visits also)
83DATA are partnered with a rapidly growing consultancy on a mission to solve the core strategic problems of global telco players using the latest advances in AI, cloud, and engineering. They are currently seeking a talented and motivated Business Analyst to join the team. As a Business Analyst, you will be a crucial member of the multi-functional teams, working on cutting-edge digital projects within the utilities industry. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded colleagues and make a significant impact in solving complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with users and stakeholders, mapping their needs and developing personas
- Foster stakeholder engagement and build strong relationships with change managers
- Collect user feedback and facilitate the feedback loop within the team
- Support the Product Owner in updating the value framework and refining roadmaps
- Apply business frameworks, develop and track KPIs, and prepare value reviews
- Drive the digital transformation process, including understanding and mapping processes
- Own user stories, perform user acceptance criteria, and support backlog management
- Lead detailed analysis, identify key requirements, and manage stakeholder engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and challenge senior stakeholders when necessary
- Advocate for the business with strong communication and presentation skills
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of recent experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment
- Strong consultancy background in large consultancies eg BIG 4, MBB
- Technical education/background (engineering, actuarial, financial management, etc.)
- Experience or understanding of Utilities domain
- Passion for or understanding of the digital landscape, including data science and AI
- Strong communication skills and client-facing experience (consultancy experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (PO/Scrum Master/Agile certification is a plus)
- Excellent technical writing, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop successful relationships at all levels and work collaboratively
Desirable:
- Skills or passion for programming, data science, or other digital environments
- Business analysis certifications from recognized bodies (BCS, BABOK, Agile PO)
- Good understanding of the technology marketplace and emerging technologies
