This role offers a chance to leverage your expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our road networks. **Why This Role Stands Out:** - **Professional Growth:** Engage in a variety of tasks that will expand your skill set and enhance your career trajectory. - **Impactful Work:** Play a crucial role in maintaining and improving road safety and quality, directly influencing the community. - **Collaborative Environment:** Work alongside industry experts and contribute to comprehensive reports that shape future projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct route tour inspections and shadow OC safety inspection programmes. - Identify and verify category 1 defects, ensuring accurate recording and assessment. - Monitor and manage litter issues, coordinating with local authorities and OC for resolution. - Oversee schemes within warranty periods, raising and monitoring ORIs and HAZ as necessary. - Maintain detailed registers and contribute to monthly and annual reports. - Ensure compliance with Chapter 8 and PPE requirements during OC roadworks. - Inspect, audit, and monitor asset inventory and Supplier compliance with contracts. - Verify the accuracy of Suppliers' records and confirm adherence to specifications. - Issue notices based on site inspections and contribute to Employer-required reports. **Skills and Experience Required:** - **Educational Background:** HNC/HND in civil engineering or equivalent qualification. - **Extensive Experience:** Proven track record in inspecting, monitoring, and reporting on Supplier compliance with contracts and specifications related to road construction and maintenance. - **Technical Proficiency:** In-depth knowledge of maintenance and construction works associated with road networks. - **Attention to Detail:** Ability to verify the accuracy of records and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. - **Communication Skills:** Strong ability to contribute to detailed reports and effectively communicate findings.
