Job Description: We are looking for a proficient MIG Welder/Fabricator with extensive experience in structural steelwork. The successful candidate will work on large-scale projects within the rail and civil engineering sectors, ensuring that all fabrications meet the highest standards of quality and safety
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel components for large-scale rail and civil engineering projects.
- Fabricate steel structures according to engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure welds and fabrications meet stringent industry standards and project requirements.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools efficiently and safely.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to ensure project timelines and quality objectives are met.
- Participate in site installations and adjustments as required by project specifications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder/Fabricator, particularly with structural steel.
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and equipment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Relevant welding certification (preferred but not required).
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working on large-scale rail and civil engineering projects.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to structural steel fabrication.
- Experience with site installations and working in diverse environments.
