Role: IT Support Engineer
Location: Warwickshire
Salary: Up to £40k (Depending on Experience)
Experience Required:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or higher is a plus
Strong knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Security
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Proven experience in technical support or a related role, with a focus on Azure cloud services
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to evolving technologies
Proactive and self-motivated, with a keen attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
* Microsoft Azure Cloud
Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure Cloud services
Manage and monitor Azure cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and security
Deploy and configure virtual machines, storage, and networking components in Azure
Implement and optimize Azure resources for scalability and efficiency
Work with Azure Active Directory and Office 365 Admin Portal for user and group management
Understanding of SharePoint and OneDrive for business
Work with Microsoft ADR and MABS systems
Work with Exchange 365
* Infrastructure Management
Administer Windows servers, Domain Controllers, and Active Directory
Configure and manage inTune for device management
Oversee/configure WatchGuard WiFi access points and Firewalls
Oversee/configure Aurba HP VLAN configurations
Work with the I.T. Manager to help execute system upgrades and implementations
* Networking and Security
Maintain and troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, and general network-related issues
Understanding of routers/switches
Understanding of Firewalls/Gateways
Implement and manage VPN solutions, SSL and IKEv2
Manage shared drive via NTFS permissions
* Monitoring and Reporting
Monitor and manage shared drives, ensuring optimal performance
Manage Engine Endpoint Central unified management system
* Desktop Support
Provide desktop support for end-users, resolving hardware and software issues
Support escalated support tickets from other team members
Configure and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices
* Server Room Operations
Experience in working in Server rooms, ensuring hardware reliability and uptime
APC UPS setup and configuration
Dell Servers hardware configuration/upgrading
* Access Control
Knowledge and experience with Paxton Access Control systems
General Responsibilities:
Technical depth of knowledge and critical thinking
Contribute to continuous improvement within the business
Report to board level on health status and risks of function
Stay abreast of industry trends, movements, requirements and innovations looking for opportunities to enhance the functional offering
Drive and maintain a positive internal culture and reputation of the function, and the wider business
Actively contribute to knowledge capture and sharing
