About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience to join our vibrant primary school in Smethwick. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs, particularly in a 1-1 setting. You will work closely with a pupil who requires individual attention to help them thrive within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1-1 support for a pupil with SEN.
* Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans and interventions.
* Work alongside teachers to promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Support with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
* Assist with personal care tasks as needed.
* Ensure a safe and encouraging environment for the pupil’s personal and academic development.
Requirements:
* Level 2 or 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Childcare, Education Support).
* Proven experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a primary or early years setting.
* Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and practical experience with young children.
* Experience with personal care is essential.
* A patient, reliable, and committed individual who can build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
