Job Requirements / Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to be part of a team supporting the first major merger within the Higher Education sector in a number of years. The post holder will oversee the post-merger delivery plan.
Job responsibilities include:
Oversee the post-merger integration plan with clear timelines and deliverables
Ensure professional services are unified to support the school's vision
Monitor and complete regulatory, compliance, and transfer commitments
Support project leaders and ensure smooth programme execution
Manage governance, reporting, and escalation for integrated projects
Coordinate business cases for investment decisions
Oversee budget, resources, and quality throughout the programme
Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and regular progress reporting
Candidate profile: Relevant professional qualification in programme/ project management Track record of project and programme delivery in a complex business environment Proven experience of successful programme management, of a series of inter-related projects against performance indicators, budget and timescale Demonstrable knowledge of the management of major projects and programmes, and approaches to enabling change in large and complex organisations
Annual salary:
£61,198 - £68,857 Contract type:
Fixed Term for two years Working hours:
Full time Location:
Central London (hybrid working) Additional benefits: 30 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays + 3 University closure (41 per annum) Generous pension contributions
