About the Job Maxx Royal Resorts is seeking a high profile Director Luxury Sales UK Region to join our Global luxury team based at our London office. This strategic role will ensure that Maxx Royal Resorts is positioned as a key luxury hospitality brand in the market You will know how to create and execute successful strategies to achieve financial targets whilst proactively nurturing relationships, identifying customer trends with a tactical approach to drive overall revenue. Ideally, you are a dynamic, entrepreneurial and motivated individual; a self-starter with a hunger for knowledge and success. The Director of Luxury Sales UK will also participate in industry organizations, community events and develop and maintain rapport with clients and industry peers and be responsible for leading and the performance of the region in delivering the budgeted rooms revenue. Job Responsibilities Responsible for working closely with the Global Commercial Director to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels Key areas include coordinating the brand sales and trade marketing plans by recommending growth efforts, monitoring progress, ensuring that they accurately interpret and support the objectives of the business and use these plans to focus the sales efforts in relevant market segments Be the expert in the local market in all leisure segments - Luxury Consortia, Luxury Tour Operators, Entertainment, Groups & Destination Wedding Sales. Sales development; participate in the hiring of team members, inductions, Personal-Development-Plans, Training, Objectives, Targets and supporting with their future success. Set KPI’s financial targets which support team in achieving goals including necessary reporting. Deep understanding current market conditions to ensure the brand remains competitive Monitor demand, identify business risks/opportunities and introduce sales activities to maximize opportunities. Gather market intelligence. Research customer attitudes and concerns shifting among hotel core customers and segments that may affect future revenue Prepare and participate in trade shows, familiarization trips and exhibitions as well as trade related organizations. Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the management Work closely with the Trade Marketing Communications team to align strategies towards target customer groups and segmentation. Develop an understanding of the hotels full commercial strategy to ensure goals are set appropriately. Responsible for developing the annual sales and trade marketing plan for the region in conjunction with the Global Commercial Director . Collaborate on creation of clear process management disciplines for the team Qualifications 5 years’ experience in a Sales position preferably with luxury resort experience. Relevant degree in sales, business development or other business field Assertive, professional and positive with a proven ability to develop and lead in a team environment. Full understanding of the UK luxury market Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment with a proven ability to innovate. Excellent presentation skills. Commitment to deliver a high level of customer service Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop solutions to these challenges. Excellent selling capabilities and the ability and desire to coach selling techniques to Team Members. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations Ability to work well under time pressure and/or demanding travel schedules A passion for sales and target-based performance. Flexibility to travel internationally and host FAM trips
