IT Security Engineer

Are you someone that has strong foundations as a 3rd Line Support /Infrastructure Engineer and are now in the Cyber Security /InfoSec space? Do you know how to help design and implement new Azure cloud infrastructure services along with identifying potential improvements for security and existing IT infrastructure? The technology stack is primarily based around Microsoft so MS Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Azure Arc etc, plus some new security toys to play with… The company is dynamic, fast paced, and growing. The team are great, very friendly and work in collaborative approach from both solution design to troubleshooting broad ranging cloud infrastructure issues. With this role you will work towards developing strong IT Security for the group. Managing pen tests, patching, vulnerabilities, etc. as you help apply strong Cyber Security standards across the UK wide IT estate. You will operate alongside the IT team to help identify and manage security risks & issues and work with various business units and IT to implement appropriate security standards and security measures. This is a hybrid role attending the Hinckley offices two days a week. As mentioned, the organisation is growing and there’s real scope and opportunity to make the role your own! To be considered you will have the following experience: * Strong experience of supporting and maintaining Microsoft Infrastructure/Cloud technologies such as Azure and M365 * Experience in a Cyber Security type role or strong elements of cyber security as part of your role. * It would be great if you had a IT security related degree or perhaps formal qualification in Cyber Security. * Any IT/Security experience around PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001 would be advantageous Big Red have this role exclusively and have interview slots available so please don’t delay, send your CV ASAP
