Air Personnel are looking for a DEPUTY QUALITY, COMPLIANCE & SAFETY MANAGER to join a client based at Sywell The deputy Quality, Compliance & Safety Manager is responsible for assisting in the continued maintenance of, and future development of, the Organisations Quality, Independent Compliance and approved Safety Management Systems. This is to ensure continued compliance with CAA, EASA, MAA, Isle of Man, Guernsey and ISO requirements. · The deputy Quality, Compliance & Safety Manager will report directly to the Quality, Compliance & Safety Manager. · Assistance in the implementation of the Organisations audit programme to verify compliance against Air Operations, Air Training, Part FCL, Part M/CAMO, Part 145 AND Part MET regulations and the associated Organisational procedures, including product audits of each type of aircraft (or component) maintained. Raising any observed non-compliance or poor standards with the departmental Manager. · Ensure all assigned Compliance Monitoring activities are accurately documented and recorded in accordance with our compliance management system and any associated regulatory requirements. · Liaison with the Accountable Manager and relevant authority bodies concerning all matters affecting the Organisation Quality, Compliance and Safety systems during periods of his immediate managers absence. · Performance of departmental and external audits in line with the published programme. · Assistance in ensuring that corrective and preventative actions required as a result of audits are brought to the attention of the Manager(s) concerned and the effective response is made within any required timescale. · Support Departmental Managers in completion of effective root cause analysis and associated corrective/ preventive actions (i.e. compliance finding responses). · Assistance in the monitoring and amendment of Company Expositions, including any associated published procedures, and submission of the proposed amendments to the relevant authorities, via the Accountable Manager’s office. · Assistance & production of organisational procedures, with assistance from the appropriate personnel, and their periodic review to ensure currency. · The issue of Personnel approvals (Pilot, CAM, Engineer) and any required inspection stamps. Retention of associated training and experience records for relevant personnel. · Assessing suppliers of components, materials or specialist services for suitability and/or satisfactory product quality in relation to the Company’s needs. · Assessing sub-contractors with assistance from appropriate personnel, for extension of the Quality System and maintaining the expertise to do so to the satisfaction of the Organisations and Regulatory Authorities. · Assisting the Safety Manager in the operation of the Safety Management System, including the completion of hazard identification, risk analysis and management of such. Monitoring the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks, provide periodic reports on safety performance as requested, ensuring maintenance of safety management documentation and assistance in the format and programme of safety management training within the organisation. Provide advice on safety matters and ensure initiation and follow-up of internal occurrence/accident investigations. · Assistance in the production of Safety Management System newsletters and safety surveys within the organisation. · Assistance in management of the Organisations Health & Safety System in line with the published policy. This shall include ensuring safe plant, equipment and systems of work, ensuring safe and healthy working conditions, ensuring provision of all necessary information, instruction, training and supervision to enable employees to perform their work safely and efficiently. Establish and document the precautions required for safe working. Ensuring that incidents are correctly reported and performing/assisting in any required investigations. · Attainment of KPI targets, as agreed and set by their immediate Manager.
