Qualified Social Worker - Children in Care Wakefield

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Wakefield Council.

This is a temporary Social Worker role within the Children in Care Team.

In this role you will earn up to £35 an hour umbrella, whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment.

Working within the CIC Team includes but is not limited to:

* Holding a caseload of Looked after Children * Undertaking Core Assessments and Child Protection Enquiries * Undertaking Viability Assessments and Kinship Assessments * Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs * Preparing & implementing Care Plans * Attending court and giving evidence when required

For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered. Furthermore, you will have at least two years post qualifying experience in statutory child care setting in order to support your ability for this role.
