As part of their commitment to excellence, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reinsurance Technician to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Reinsurance Technician, you will play a pivotal role in their reinsurance operations, managing complex reinsurance contracts, analysing data, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless reinsurance transactions and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer various reinsurance treaties and contracts, including proportional and non-proportional treaties.
  • Review, analyse, and validate reinsurance data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and other relevant departments to assess reinsurance needs and optimize coverage structures.
  • Prepare detailed reports, summaries, and analyses of reinsurance portfolios for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and reconcile financial transactions related to reinsurance premiums and claims.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in reinsurance to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in reinsurance administration or a similar role within the insurance industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of reinsurance principles, treaties, and practices.
  • Proficiency in utilising reinsurance software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Professional certifications such as ARe (Associate in Reinsurance) or equivalent would be advantageous.
