We are currently recruiting a Technical Director / Director to play a significant role in the future success of our due diligence and wider advisory team.  You should have a proven ability to operate at a management or leadership level in a large consultancy firm, have a broad commercial understanding of the energy and utilities sectors with extensive experience of working with infrastructure investors, lenders, international finance corporations and financial advisors.  You should have a strong client base and ability to secure work for WSP. You will demonstrate good general technical, economic and regulatory understanding in the sector and have a proven track record in leading multiple complex due diligence assignments and managing teams. To find out more about our Investor and Lenders Advisory for Infrastructure business click on the following link and discover what awaits you at WSP: YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT'S INVOLVED? A leadership role in the team, responsible for setting and delivering our strategy in energy due diligence and advisory work.Developing WSP’s position with clients with the aim and objective of securing incremental new work.Empowering our team’s development by actively supporting the development of our team across all grades.Leading projects and advising clients to provide integrated commercial and technical advisory assignments in the energy and energy supply chain and co-ordinating the production of business plans and due diligence reports, ensuring consistency and quality.Leveraging on WSP’s technical excellence (Energy at WSP), lead a team, projects and advise clients to provide integrated commercial and technical advisory assignments in the energy, utilities and other emerging sectors. Responsible for leading and overseeing the production of business plans and due diligence reports, ensuring consistency and quality.Lead the development of client relationships in the energy sector and its supply chain both for the benefit of your team but also the rest of the firm. Pursue opportunities and lead the conversion into projects.Representing WSP at client meetings with an excellent range of client management skills.Leading the analysis and preparing high quality reports, conveying complex commercial and technical issues in a simple form. Leverage the 67,000 strong internal domain experts and specialist consultants to find answers to complex problems.Possibility of travel overseas for projects (typically we undertake 2 or 3 day client trips, for kick-off/site visits and/or final client presentations).OUR TEAM The Investor Advisory team has a strong track record of supporting clients at the early stage of projects such as feasibility plans, market forecasts as well as technical assessment of complex projects.  Our key clients cover a wide range of different organisations in the private and public sectors.  Key clients include financial institutions (pension funds, investors and financiers), operators (ports, rail, buses, highways and mobility) and wider industry.  More widely, WSP has extensive energy and utilities technical expertise albeit there is potential to do more in the investor advisory space. The Advisory team is currently diversifying from a strong transport client base and has successfully developed its expertise into new sectors, namely industrial clients, major government programmes (e.g. Port Infrastructure Fund, UK Freeports) as well as mobility and core+ sectors. We are regularly involved from project origination through to completion, as well as during asset optimisation and modernisation and/or expansion of existing facilities.
