Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Coordinator/Facade Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facade design, particularly with aluminium rainscreen cladding and terracotta cladding. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for facade projects, including metalwork, glazing, and drylining.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure designs meet project requirements and standards.
- Manage the design process from conception through to final installation, ensuring all designs are completed on time and within budget.
- Review and approve material samples, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team throughout the construction phase.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and resolve any design-related issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in facade design, with a focus on aluminium rainscreen cladding and terracotta cladding.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of facade engineering principles and construction methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
