Site Engineer - £45,000 - £50,000 p/a Groundworks on New House Build projects Greater Manchester based Sites Market Leading Civil Engineering Groundworks contractor with Head office based near Crewe now looking for a Site Engineer to join their expanding Ops team for sites in the Greater Manchester region. This prominent sub-contractor specialises in groundworking projects for new build projects and sites. About the role : Site Engineer As the Site Engineer you'll report to the Contracts manager and be a part of the groundworks setting out team. The housebuilder clients you will be contracting for are the likes of; Redrow, Taylor Wimpey, and more! Operating on various sizes of New build site - projects valued between £12mill - £20mill. Responsibilities for Site Engineer managing parts of construction projects. overseeing construction work. undertaking surveys. setting out sites. Travelling to sites across Northwest checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly. supervising contracted staff. ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales. liaising with clients, subcontractors, local authority employees, architects and other professionals, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager. providing technical advice and solving problems on site. preparing site reports and logging progress. ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to. Requirements for Site Engineer Previous experience setting out the groundworks portion on a new house building project Previous experience working for a civil engineering contractor Full UK drivers license Civil Engineering Qualification (HND minimum) Up to date tickets and certifications Remuneration for the Site Engineer £45,000 - £50.000 permanent full time employment (Freelance not available) Company Van provided Training and exposure to civil engineering for construction industry Growth and progression opportunity If you want to hear more about this Site Engineer opportunity, please apply with an up-to-date copy of your CV
