Resettlement Support Worker

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Homelessness Support Worker to join Manchester City Council’s Afghan Resettlement Scheme on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The Role: This position will involve visiting families in their own homes or the apartments where they are temporarily staying and assisting them with setting up utility bills, maintaining payments, arranging council tax payments and supporting with universal credit claims. Other duties will include checking families universal credit journals, applying for school places, and setting them up with GP’s and Densits. Requirements: * Previous experience of working in Housing, Homelessness, or Resettlement, ideally supporting those who are new to the UK * Full UK Drivers Licence Please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible if this role would be of interest to you
