Cloud Infrastructure Architect Day Rate: Up to £600 outside IR35 Duration: 6 Months Rolling Clearance: Active SC Required Location: Remote - UK Wide Start Date: Max 2 weeks’ notice The Opportunity: The UK’s 1 Digital Solutions Provider seeks an influential AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead a high-profile Government cloud transformation programme's end-to-end design, build, and implementation. The Role: You’ll design scalable AWS cloud solutions, using Terraform and Ansible to automate and optimise infrastructure whilst managing CI/CD pipelines through GITLab to ensure smooth integration across Linux and Windows environments. Key Requirements: Must hold active SC Security Clearance The architect must come from an Infrastructure Engineering background AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional (Essential) with over 10 years of hands-on experience in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation). Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management. Experienced with GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipeline management, and automation workflows. Strong expertise in Linux and Windows server environments, covering configuration, management, and troubleshooting. Advanced Python skills for automation, integration, and tooling. Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including encryption methods and IAM policies. Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes and monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or the ELK stack.
