Specification Engineer

Specification Engineer required. Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution and power transformers and a pioneer of super low loss amorphous transformer technology. They are now looking for a Specification Engineer due to the growth of the business.Successful candidates will be part of the Sales Team building and maintaining relationships with consultants and end users to increase distribution and power transformer sales. The role is responsible for selling into consultants and other specifiers (EG end users) it is important therefore that candidates have a firm technical understanding. Typical candidates would have completed an apprenticeship within an MV manufacturing background and developed into sales. This could be from a switchgear background, but with experience of package substation solutions or ideally from a Tx manufacturing background.Specification Engineer Position OverviewWorking in coordination with the Heads of Sales & Marketing to identify and target growth opportunitiesDevelop new & existing accounts, nurture and maximise sales whilst providing market-leading customer service levels within the Consultant & End User customer baseCarry out the necessary market analysis to scope out potential end users in key market sectorsCollate necessary data internally from the engineering & marketing teams to work closely with consultants on distribution transformer specificationsAchieve personal sales targets and KPIs whilst working towards the combined distribution transformer sales targetReview customer enquiries, including project specificationsWhen required provide timely and accurate quotations, in line with the customer and company expectations, including collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholdersPrepare annual business and account plans for key customers to focus sales activity and marketing support for the areaManage day-to-day customer requirements, including responses to commercial and technical queriesProactively use and maintain the CRM database to ensure all pertinent information is capturedAttend pre and post-order meetings, at both customer sites and the officeReview, when required, the suitability of Customer Terms and Conditions in order to maintain the commercial positionCollaborate with key internal departments, including tendering, contracts, engineering, production and accounts to ensure customer expectations are maintainedAttend and present at both client meetings and Company events; exhibitions and CPDs across the UK and overseas as required.Specification Engineer Position RequirementsA proven sales track record ideally within the Electrical Power Supply Sector or within a technical manufacturing/supply sectorIndustry knowledge in the Electrical Power SectorAn electrical engineering background or qualificationPrevious sales experience within a specification roleHold a full UK driving licenceMust be flexible as UK and occasional international travel forms part of the role.Specification Engineer Position RemunerationSalary Expectation: £50,000- £65,000Car AllowanceWorking from home (Hybrid)Holiday Package: 25 days + 8BHOTE Bonus Scheme and Company Profit Share SchemeEV Salary Sacrifice Scheme and on-site ChargingHealthcare & well-being Scheme and Employee Benefit ProgrammePensionBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
