Food Technology/Catering HLTA Lambeth September 2024 Salary: £110- £130 depending on qualifications and experience An outstanding Special Needs College in Lambeth is recruiting a Food technology/Catering HLTA to start ASAP. This is a long-term full-time requirement via the agency for the remainder of the academic year. The college is for young adults aged 19 - 25 years with EHCPs for Autism and social and communication needs. As well as offering students an engaging curriculum, they also work hard to develop communication and social skills. As Food Technology/catering Lead you will manage and co-ordinate the course. Responsibilities will include supervising other support staff, planning lessons around budgeting, planning and food ordering. There is an onsite café, and you will be required to Plan the café menu, events menus and daily student menus with consideration to cost and budget, whilst ensuring that food is healthy and good value. Provide meals, food and drinks that cater for allergies and special diets. The college encourages students to gain employment where possible, you will work with the head of the department assisting students to find employment within the local community and raising awareness about Autism.
