1:1 autism specialist teaching assistant

Do you have experience supporting pupils with autism? Would you like the opportunity to work in an OFSTED graded ' Good' school? The school is based in the NG10 area. The role is full time and will begin Sept 2024. The hours of work will be 08:30-16:00 The main duties within the role will be: Working in the school's enhanced resource unit Supporting pupils with social and emotional needs Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who struggle to engage in class Leading interventions around positive communication and teamwork Managing the challenging behaviours of targeted individuals The school are looking for someone who: Is able to build relationships with pupils who present with autism Has at least one years experience working in a school Has excellent classroom control and behaviour management Can communicate effectively with pupils and colleagues Will work effectively on your own and also as part of a team Can act as a positive role model for the children To apply for this role, please send across your CV via the application page.
