Job Title: Band 8a Locum Cancer Services PharmacistLocation: Bath, EnglandSalary: £35phContract Type: LocumHours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Onsite working onlyAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 8a Cancer Services Pharmacist to join one of the specialized pharmacy teams in Bath. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to oncology patients. Aseptic Service Provision Based in the aseptic unit to support the Aseptic Unit managers in the day to day management and development of Aseptic Services with some Oncology Screening.Key Responsibilities:To provide a high quality patient focused aseptic service to patients in the Trust and associated hospitals.To support section managers in the provision of Aseptics and Clinical Trials services and ensure they are flexible and responsive to patient needsTo provide mentorship and support to the band 6 pharmacists and monitor their progress whilst on rotation to section To ensure the safe, clinically effective, and cost efficient use of drugsTo act as an Authorised Pharmacist and supervise the day-to-day preparation of products, and their release for use in compliance with National & Local Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)To work closely with Aseptic Services Technicians and Senior Pharmacy Technicians to prioritise workload and day-to-day operation of SACT services.To ensure PASU is operating in accordance with current legislation and guidance including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP), Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services, RPSGB Code of Ethics, Health and Safety, Medicines Act, COSHH and Departmental ProceduresTo be fully aware of the processes used to accurately and consistently prepare, dispense and release a wide range of aseptic products including cytotoxics, epidurals, intrathecals, antibiotics, parenteral nutrition, high risk injectables and novel agents.Requirements:Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).Significant experience in aseptic, oncology and or haematology within a secondary care setting.Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in cancer treatments.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Benefits:Competitive hourly rate.Flexible working hours.Opportunity to work in a supportive and specialized environment.Gain experience in a leading cancer services department.How to Apply:If you are a passionate and experienced Cancer Services Pharmacist looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
