Quantity Surveyor – RC Frame / Groundworks - London My client are well known as being one of the leading RC Frame / Groundworks subcontractors but now also act as a principle main contractor on some jobs. They work mainly within London and Home Counties but have worked farther afield than this previously. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Review and understanding of the Contract Conditions * Analysis of the tender and liaison with the site team to set, monitor and report against the budget * Preparation and agreement of the interim and final valuations, including provisions of all supporting data * Provision of commercial advice to the site team involving regular site visits * Procurement of subcontractors, checking and certifying payments due and agreeing of variations to the accounts * Identification, pricing, issuing and agreement of Compensation Events in accordance with the timescales required under the contract * Use of software including COINS * Pricing of additional packages of work * Preparation and presentation of monthly reports * Attend meetings and develop good working relationships with clients’ representatives, other contractors and our own staff including the site management teams. CANDIDATE: We are seeking an enthusiastic, degree qualified, Quantity Surveyor with a minimum 5 years subsequent relevant experience and a keenness to continue to develop a career within civil engineering. Previous airside working and Chartered Membership of the RICS would be an advantage but is not essential. The successful candidate should have experience with NEC forms of contract and be organised, a good time manager and capable of working under their own initiative
