We are looking for an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and diverse school in Finchley, London. As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be supporting students who need extra help to catch up with the curriculum, especially in literacy and numeracy. You will work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis, providing targeted interventions to boost their confidence and understanding. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Special Educational Needs (SEN) and boosters and looking for part-time flexibility. You'll assist with lesson delivery, behaviour support, and help maintain our inclusive, nurturing classroom environment. Application Requirements:• Candidates should have previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting, preferably in a Key Stage 2 environment or with Special Educational Needs.• A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is required. A degree in education or a related field is desirable but not essential.• Applicants should have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, especially in literacy and numeracy, and experience in delivering booster and intervention programmes.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively supporting students and collaborating with teachers and parents. Key Responsibilities:• Assist Key Stage 2 students with catch-up lessons in core subjects such as English and Maths.• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions for children with SEN and learning gaps.• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.• Help maintain positive behaviour in line with the school's ethos of responsibility and respect.• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
