Senior Java Software Engineer

Company : Qualient Technology Solutions Location : Reading, UK Position Type : Full-time / Contract About the Role : We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our L3 Service Support Team. This role is crucial for maintaining the stability of our systems and resolving live defects efficiently. Key Responsibilities : Analyze and coordinate the resolution of live defects in collaboration with the development team. Conduct regular health checks to ensure operational stability and performance. Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement resolutions for both technical and functional problems. Take ownership of issues, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure timely resolution. Adhere to agreed response and resolution time SLAs for all support requests. Collaborate effectively with developers, analysts, and business owners at all levels. Demonstrate quick learning and strong problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment. Utilize a tech stack including Java (8+), Spring Framework, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, AWS services, Git, Jenkins, and microservices architecture. Participate in "On Call" support, being available after hours for critical incidents. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, showcasing excellent verbal and written skills while working independently or as part of a team. Qualifications : Hands-on experience with Java and related technologies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
