Network Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Network Engineer , with a focus on network deployment, on behalf of a major automotive retailer for a 6 month contract . The ideal candidate will have expertise in executing port changes and VLAN issues, ensuring seamless network operations. This role, while located remotely, requires 75% travel around the UK to customer sites (all fully expensed). Daily responsibilities include receiving and addressing Tier 2 and 3 network-related requests via Zendesk, with the support of senior Network Engineers. This person must be adept at troubleshooting and resolving network incidents efficiently, investigating then proactively troubleshooting until resolution. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Responsibilities Prior experience as a Network Engineer Hands on experience with SD Wan Silver Peaks Previous experience with Palo Global Protect Previous experience with Meraki/Wi-Fi switch Prior experience troubleshooting port changes, VLAN issues, and Tier II/III network issues Hands on experience with Cisco routers/switches LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, DMVPN, VPN, and Network Monitoring tool experience Please note this is a 6 month contract, Inside IR35 , with the potential to be extended beyond the 6 months period.
