Trainee Test Technician

Position: Trainee Lab Technician Location: Sandy Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Lab Technician to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Sandy. Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Trainee Lab Technician to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work. Initial requirements of role Assisting in the development & testing of refrigerated display cabinets - remote & integral, HFC & CO2 which will include installation & removal of cabinets in labs, the removal & fitting of components, fitting & setting up of valves, fitting & setting up of electronic controllers Housekeeping & maintenance of labs & lab equipment Gaining an in depth understanding of vapour compression refrigeration systems - HFC, A2L, CO2 Gaining an understanding of secondary refrigeration systems - glycol, pumped CO2, water loop etc Gaining experience of refrigerated cabinet servicing Gaining experience of packaged refrigeration plant (packs) - HFC, A2L, CO2 Attaining a recognised relevant qualification(s) Gaining an understanding of wiring circuits / diagrams Qualities Good communication skills Open to new ideas & technologies Positive attitude Ability to 'think outside the box' Dedicated & reliable Willing to embrace change If you are interested in this position, please apply with a copy of your CV & a member of our team will be in touch to discuss the opportunity with you in further detail.
