Logistics Coordinator Required!
Our client is a leading manufacturer of metal castings, producing high quality aluminium alloy castings, gravity & aluminium die castings.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a methodical Logistics Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the movement of materials and finished goods, supporting their productions operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, and logistics withing a manufacturing environment.
Package:
- Salary 30,000 - 35,000 (DOE)
- Company pension
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays
Logistics Coordinator - Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate delivery updates to customers, responding to enquiries over phone and email.
- Coordinate and schedule shipments of raw materials and finished products to meet production and customer demands.
- Liaise with internal teams such as sales & production to ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, freight companies, and couriers.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and deliveries.
- Collaborate with production and purchasing departments to ensure timely deliveries and resolve supply chain issues.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline logistics processes.
- Address and resolve any logistical challenges or disruptions in a timely manner
Logistics Coordinator - Requirements:
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role, within manufacturing.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Computer literate
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
