North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join the Child Assessment and Safeguarding Service. The successful candidate will work a minimum of 2-3 days per week in the office, alongside an excellent team based at our new office in Grimsby Town Centre. Key Responsibilities: * Engage effectively with vulnerable children, young people, families, and other stakeholders to build positive relationships. * Formulate, implement, and review agreed care plans tailored to the needs of children and families. * Carry out timely assessments of service users' needs in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and practice guidance. * Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to deliver coordinated services for the welfare of children. * Demonstrate professional awareness and understanding of the impact of your involvement as a childcare professional. * Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and adhere to safeguarding protocols. Essential Requirements: * Qualified social worker with current registration with Social Work England. * Experience working in a statutory children's services setting, specifically in assessment and safeguarding. * Strong knowledge of child protection processes and relevant legislation. * Ability to manage complex cases, conduct assessments, and develop care plans. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals.
