We are seeking a customer focused BSE sector specialist to be the source of knowledge, support, advice, and guidance of City & Guilds products and services in your industry. This position is offered as a fixed term contract opportunity for 12 months initially with the potential to be extended. You will have a good understanding of the post-16 education landscape to support the wider range of our customers, covering further education colleges, private training providers, employer provides, apprenticeships, and adult learning provision. Therefore, it is essential that you have a strong understanding of the sector gained through the delivery, quality assurance or management of training and assessment in one or more of these settings. The aim of this role is to help City & Guilds deliver on its commitment to invest and grow in this sector. This role is national, so we are flexible on your base. This role will give you lots of variety, supporting our customer both face to face and remotely, this will mean you will be away from home on a regular basis travelling around the UK. A car allowance is provided subject to mileage. We will be conducting interviews remotely on Wednesday 6th November. This appointment will be made on merit. About the role Your primary focus will be supporting all our customers in the BSE sector across the UK. Your role as a Technical Advisor is to provide first class support, guidance, and enhanced training to our customers. This will be through a range of different customer activities, such as webinars, networking events, 1-2-1 meetings plus bespoke training and specialist CPD. You will be part of a wider Customer Solutions team in City and Guilds, all driven to achieve our collective goals. As a Technical Advisor you will be the source of support, advice, and expert knowledge of City & Guilds products and services in a specified industry. Your external focus will mean you will be bringing rich sector insights back into the business. You will become a beacon of sector knowledge, designing, and delivering CPD programmes, enhancing customer knowledge and engaging and working alongside key stakeholders in the sector. About you You should have gained credible industry and education experience working within the Building Services Engineering sector i.e Plumbing, electrical and refrigeration, holding a wealth of knowledge and engagement in your sector. You will be a strong advocate in your sector and have a passion for excellence. Our main products and services consist of qualifications and assessment solutions, having a strong working knowledge in this field is essential. You should possess a passion for representing the training needs of this sector and the drive and determination to work across the City & Guilds business at all levels, as well as with key external stakeholders. As a confident individual you will have the skills and ability to bring people together, presenting to groups and individuals and engaging with them to work on the portfolio, supporting City & Guilds as a leading awarding organisation in this sector.
