Senior Compliance Solicitor

A top international law firm is looking for a Senior In-house Privacy Lawyer (4-6 PQE) to support the Global DPO. This role will suit a qualified lawyer trained in private practice who also has some in-house experience in professional services, banking or financial services firm. The Privacy Lawyer will support the Firm by providing advice and guidance on the Firm’s data protection obligations globally, as well as contributing to the delivery of compliance projects, drafting of templates, data protection impact assessments and training. Key Responsibilities Assist the Global DPO deliver on compliance priorities, projects and initiatives Review, prepare and provide advice on data protection agreements, including standard contractual clauses, transfer impact assessments and associated documentation Work closely with the Privacy Operations team on data subject access requests, data incidents, Data Protection Impact Assessments Support the Legal Department’s provision of advice to lawyers within the Firm’s practice groups in relation to the Firm’s data protection obligations globally Keep abreast of privacy law developments and practice in the UK and EU and within those jurisdictions where the Firm operates Requirements Qualified lawyer in England & Wales (or another common law or European jurisdiction) Demonstrable experience advising on data protection matters across a global organisation
