If so, we have a need for Cover Supervisors to join our team. We have an urgent need for University Graduates to become Cover Supervisors across Birmingham. Particularly in the Redditch, Bromsgrove, Solihull, Bournville, Halesowen, Dudley, Tyseley and Coleshill areas. Candidates residing in or willing to travel to these locations are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: – Providing cover supervision for a class or 25-30 students for an absent teacher – Ensuring students are engaged in their learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment. – Following the pre-planned lessons and ensuring that students understand the tasks set by the absent teacher. – Managing student behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures. – Assisting students with their work and answering questions as required. – Building strong rapport with students and promoting a love for learning. – Collaborating with colleagues to provide feedback and input on student progress. Requirements: – A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized UK university. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - be confident to conduct and manage a group. – Ability to engage and inspire young people. – Flexibility to work on a part-time or full-time basis. – Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
