Machine Shop Lead

The Company

Our client is a specialist well established engineering company. Due to sustained growth, they are now looking for an experienced Machine Shop Lead.

The Role

• Will be working day shift 37.5 hours per week.
• This is a permanent role.
• Supervising a small team.
• Also, hands on machining.

• Setting and Operating Manual lathes in order to produce components.
• Inspecting own work to ensure quality is met.
• Maintaining ISO9001 Quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Support internal teams to get to the root cause of specific issues.

The Person

• Ideally the successful candidate will be a time served Machinist.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Working to tight tolerances within a precision environment.
• Working on a range of products.
• Carry out inspection on parts.
• Have experience in manual machining.
• Flexible approach to tasks.
• The candidate must also be able to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
