Finance Manager - Group Financial Accounts Team
Location: Manchester Contract Type: Full-time
About the Role: We're seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Group Financial Accounting Team. This role is key to supporting the FY24 year-end audit process and the implementation of SAP (S4 Hana). Reporting to the Head of External Financial Reporting, you will play a critical part in preparing consolidated Group results, working on balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborating across the business to ensure smooth delivery of our year-end accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Group Financial Accounts team to produce consolidated Group results and the annual report for FY24 year-end. Perform central balance sheet reconciliations periodically and at year-end. Assist with the preparation of group-related financial close, consolidation information, and balance sheet reconciliations in line with external audit requirements. Prepare technical accounting papers to support key judgments and estimates. Support the preparation of year-end subsidiary accounts. Work with the Group Finance team to support the SAP implementation project, including participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) for consolidation and reporting.What We're Looking For:
Fully qualified accountant with post-qualification experience. Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards and experience preparing statutory accounts. Proven track record of completing or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels. Ability to manage workload independently and delegate effectively, meeting deadlines. A collaborative team player who is proactive in building trusted relationships both internally and externally.Behaviours and Capabilities:
Co-operation: Work closely with the wider Finance team to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of audit information. Relationship Building: Actively forge and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external partners, including auditors and SAP partners. Future Focused: Develop and refine accounting processes that align with future business priorities, especially post-SAP implementation.You'll Be Empowered To:
Make decisions about accounting treatments for new initiatives. Prepare consolidated Group results and provide responses to external auditors. Align planning activities to ensure team members are on track with their deliverables. Deliver testing and provide data under the SAP programme.
