Software Engineer

Job Title: Software Engineer (Backend) Salary: £85-£95K + Equity (0.5-0.8%). Industry: AI / ML Location: London - 5 days in the office Type of Employment: Full-time/Permanent *Engineers from all programming backgrounds are encouraged to apply Our Client Immersum are working with a stealth mode start-up that is changing the game with IP intelligence, powered by AI. You will join the 2 Founders and a team of 3 Engineers in their journey to build their product, solving complex challenges and making a meaningful difference in the world. They have just received a large round of funding from one of the largest VC's in the tech and AI space and are looking to capatalise on the growth of the business by bringing in 2 SWE's. Job Description: Our client is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Software Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining their platform leveraging your experience with their tech stack. This role requires a product-minded individual who wants to build fast, ship fast and have total ownership over their work. You will jump straight into things from day 1, growing the product and solving complex challenges as you go working alongside the high performing team. Their Stack: Java, Python, TypeScript, React, Spark, Elastic, PostgreSQL All programming languages considered as long as you are happy working in their stack. Requirements: You will contribute to the whole platform from the BE to ML infra to building pipelines to retrieve web rich data to contributing to the FE. You are a thoughtful problem solver with a proven track record of building world class software (3-5 years of experience). You approach problems holistically, think critically about the value add of what you are building and the implications of your technical decisions on the product, user and technical architecture. You take pride in the value of the product you build, its maintainability and the quality of your code. You are self sufficient and are comfortable with ambiguity and with managing your own goals. This role requires that you work onsite in London 5 days a week.
